MWTC Committees:

Do you want to show off your talents in an organization that is dedicated to strengthening Memphis’ position in the global economy?  Are you already a member and want to be more involved?  Here is where you can get started.  The Memphis World Trade Club has several committees that welcome your time and efforts to making the organization a success.  Take time out to read the committee objectives and decide today how you will serve!

 

New Membership Development

Objective:  Communicate, encourage involvement, and connect personally with each new member of the club. This committee strives to represent the needs and expectations of new and existing members and provide incentives for membership and organizational growth.

Event Planning

Objective:  To support and oversee the planning club events. This includes, but is not limited to the annual Golf Tournaments, monthly meetings, major conferences such as Multimodal and Southeast Freight Conference, the historical Port Night, and the Christmas Party. 

Budget/Finance/Scholarships

Objective:  To provide data driven financial support to Officers & Board members in efforts to maximize revenue decisions.

 

Fundraising

Objective:  To develop and strengthen relationships with all of the club’s supporters, both newly acquired and long-standing partners, toward the end that businesses see tangible value in contributing both time and resources in a joint effort to accomplish the MWTC’s mission to be the key resource in the Memphis community for promoting participation and growth in international trade.

Database & Communications 

Objective: Develop, maintain, and convey information to the club’s membership in an accurate and timely manner to support the goals of the organization. This includes, but is not limited to, event announcements, member database maintenance, membership communications, membership directory as well as thank-you, congratulatory and bereavement notifications.
